Bas Gros Poing is a website and podcast dedicated to fighting games

Bas Gros Poing was created in 2009 as a podcast to talk about fighting games. The goal at the time was to educate a new crowd of fighting game fans that just joined the community with the release of Street Fighter 4.

It was the first niche boom of podcast in France, and we still were in the blog frenzy, so Bas Gros Poing also became a blog. A logo was made, news and analysis were written, the team grew and at its peak, Bas Gros Poing had several thousands visitors each day.

The project was halted around 2014, and relaunched in 2017. Several people came to help, with the initial core team still present for podcasts recordings.
