Art Eater provides in depth discussion about visual art in contemporary culture

Art Eater was initially the personal blog of Richmond Lee, where he published posts about animation and cultural influences in video games. He was well known for his article about the animation of Darkstalkers, or his series "Buddhist's Guide to Asura's Wrath".
After a few years of blogging Richmond got caught up by life and lacked time to continue. The website also started to decay due to lack of updates, and in the end disappeared from the internet.
Art Eater was one of my favorite websites ever, so I contacted Richmond and proposed to redo the website for free, because it has to be on the internet. We dug into Richmond's archives, the Archive.org Web Machine, and managed to salvage almost everything.
The website was back online in 2020, ten years after its initial release. The crew also grew, with a podcast covering multiple subjects. It's now a very active project for which I act as the webmaster and a guest member.
